FAQ

Questions from the Dock

Every great voyage begins with a question. Below are some of the most common things families and teachers ask as they step aboard Sammy’s adventures.

Where is Sammy right now?

Sammy is currently anchored near the Pacific side of the Panama Canal — taking a well-earned break while charting his next big route. You can follow his ship live on the Track Sammy’s Ship page.

Will there be more books?

Yes! Sammy has many more adventures planned — and some are already being written. His compass is pointing north… or maybe west… but you’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

Is this series educational?

Absolutely. Each story is crafted to teach geography, exploration skills, cultural curiosity, and values like bravery and kindness. The books are perfect for read-alouds, geography lessons, or bedtime discussions.

Can I use Sammy in my classroom?

Yes! Teachers and homeschool parents are encouraged to use Sammy’s stories, printable materials, and maps in non-commercial learning settings. Stay tuned for a downloadable educator pack.

Can I send in artwork or a question?

We love hearing from young readers! Submissions are welcome — just be sure they’re original, respectful, and sent with a parent or teacher’s help. Email contactus@samuelrileystories.com.

Can I guess where Sammy is sailing next?

Please do! Each new route drops clues — look for them in the books, the map, and even in Sammy’s journal quotes. Parents and teachers can use this as a fun guessing game with kids.
